Cultivating the next generation of jazz artists in Brevard, Florida.
2026–2027 Auditions View CalendarYouth Jazz Ensembles of Brevard (YJEB) is a completely student led and founded, non-profit youth jazz program based in Brevard County, Florida. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of jazz musicians. We provide high-quality ensemble playing opportunities and mentorship in a positive environment. Whether it be through challenging repertoire or individual instruction, our students will constantly be pushed to thrive as musicians and individuals.
The Jazz Orchestra is YJEB's primary jazz ensemble. It performs at YJEB's main concerts and at community events, where members develop ensemble musicianship and improvisational skill through challenging repertoire.
Our jazz combos are small ensembles drawn from the YJEB Jazz Orchestra. Selected members are chosen and rehearse during Jazz Orchestra rehearsals, and perform at YJEB concerts and other community events, with an emphasis on small-group interplay and individual improvisation.
